PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As an Auto Loader, you play a critical role in the automotive and rail industries. You are responsible for safely unloading new vehicles from railcars and preparing them for their next destination. This hands‑on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and collaborating with a team that keeps the automotive supply chain moving efficiently.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Unload new vehicles from railcars and handle them with exceptional care to ensure they remain in pristine condition Safely move and park brand-new vehicles as part of the automotive logistics process Work outdoors in a clean, well-maintained environment while following all safety procedures Remove rail chocks from vehicle tires to prepare vehicles for unloading Lift, position, and lay bridge plates to enable safe vehicle and personnel access between rail cars Perform work in confined and restricted spaces, including areas between rail cars and vehicles Frequently climb up, down, in, and out of rail cars and vehicles while maintaining three points of contact Maintain situational awareness of surrounding rail equipment, moving vehicles, and personnel at all times Update system as required once work is completed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Graduation or General Equivalency Valid driver's license required Perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders up to 20 feet to access railcars Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions is required Ability to follow advanced written instruction and/or training in skills such as driving Strong safety mindset, this is a safety-sensitive position within an environment of heavy equipment and constant flow of traffic CPKC operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; must be able to work on various shifts including; overnights, holidays, and weekends and days off

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Medical and Drug Testing This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
