Who we are looking for:

AMPORTS Inc. is seeking candidates to unload vehicles off rail cars at our Wylie, TX location.

What you will do:

Remove rail chalks from tires. Drive vehicles off rail cars. Drive vehicles to specific locations. Lifting and laying bridge plates Working in very tight spaces between rail cars and vehicles climbing up/down and in/out of rail cars. What you'll bring: High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED) Ability to operate a vehicle. Safety conscious person. Ability to climb and do heavy lifting Ability to follow strict damage prevention procedures Preferred Experience Three (3) month related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience Work Environment Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.). Physical Demands Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, five days a week. This position often requires overtime. Computer operations Basic personal computer skills. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to obtain eRailSafe certification.
