Job Description

We are seeking a Boiler Inspector/Trainee Boiler Inspector to join our team! As an Inspector, you will conduct inspections to determine whether boilers and pressure vessels are safe to operate as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. We are looking for Inspectors who are available to travel regularly, but this can either be in a clearly defined region or nationwide.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough inspections in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, and Jurisdictional Requirements. Compose and provide clear, concise inspection reports. Communicate technical issues and requirements to others in an understandable manner. Provide communiques to customers and Jurisdictions about the status of equipment. Properly utilize inspection equipment including, but not limited to: borescopes, ultrasonic thickness measurement devices, manometers, flue gas analyzers, pressure gauges and regulators. ​​
Qualifications:
Preference is given to applicants that have a National Board Commission or have passed the National Board Exam or equivalent training. Must be able to fit through a manhole to enter boilers for internal inspections. Strong attention to detail. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Much of our work is for the Federal Government, so all applicants must pass a background check.
