Transportation Technician II/Inspector I

This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. Provides inspection services for compliance with plans and specifications, prepares required contract documentation, and follows prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.

• What You'll Do:

• + Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.

Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. + Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date. + Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. + Assists in on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required. + Performs other duties as assigned.

• What You'll Need:

• + High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year of construction experience. + All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

• What You'll Bring:

• + Reads and understands plans and specifications. + Recognizes, documents, and escalates field issues. + Calculates pay quantities. + Understands change conditions. + Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an intermediate level.

• What We Prefer:

• + Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology + Associate degree in Construction Management
