Neel-Schaffer, an Engineering News-Record Top 200 Design firm with offices in nine states, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Mid-Level CEI Inspector to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Nashville (TN) Office or the surrounding area. Travel may be required on a temporary basis as project locations change. Neel-Schaffer strives to fit applicants with projects to minimize commute time or temporary relocation. We will work with you. This position involves skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office. The Mid-Level CEI Inspector will act independently in providing inspection of specific parts of contract work, such as asphalt laydown operations, grading, or concrete inspection. The Mid-Level CEI Inspector may assist other inspectors on larger projects in performing specific inspection tasks. Education and/or
Experience:
Three to five years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection on road and/or bridge transportation construction projects is preferred. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel may be required. Basic computer skills are required; including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Certifications:
TDOT HMA
Certified Roadway Inspector. Asphalt Plant Technician. Work Zone Traffic Control/Flagging. 10 HR OSHA Construction Safety. TDOT Radiation Safety & Nuclear Guage. TDOT Soils & Aggregate Technician. TDOT Concrete Technician/ ACI Grade 1. Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (EPSC).
