Aviation Structures Experience Requirements:
10+ years of aviation structures, repair, or overhaul experience with at least 5 years in the performance of inspections. Current A&P certificate or Airframe certificate. Or ability to obtain Repairman's Certificate. Comply with DOT/FAA Drug & Alcohol testing requirements. Willing to work extended hours based on repair station production requirements. Read, Write, & Speak English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Proficient in inspections of repairs to structure in accordance with approved documentation, engineering disposition, drawings, structural repair manual or standard practices manuals. Ability to read computer screen and other electronic equipment. (Physical requirement) Visual abilities needed for inspection. (Physical requirement) Ability to travel for offsite inspections and CVG (Cincinnati Airport) rotation of schedule.
Preferred:
Familiar with composite materials and associated types of resins used in composite repairs and their applications. Able to research
FAA & EASA
Airworthiness Directives. Non Destructive Testing Level II in PT/MT or Eddy Current. Experience using Quantum Control or similar ERP. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working with AS9110 and/or ASA-100 Quality systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform receiving, preliminary, in-process, hidden damage, and final inspections. Verify completion of all work orders and sign airworthiness release. Ensure that work is accomplished per established inspection procedures. Ensure that all aircraft maintenance meets FAA , customer, and company specifications. Ensure that inspection items are complied with properly and all necessary forms are completed. Maintain a thorough familiarity with the content of the company Repair Station Manual and all subsequent revisions. Provide initial and recurrent training to site employees. Remain aware of applicable CFR's, most notably Part 145, 121, 65, and Part 43. Perform routine surveillance of in-process work. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
