Job Summary:
Knik is looking for a Traffic Control Airport Flagger Davis Bacon Wages -
Per Contract Responsibilities:
Maintain continuous visual and radio communication with aircraft and ground crews. Monitor and control movement of personnel and equipment within the AOA. Use two-way radios to communicate on the Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF 122.9 MHz) and with other airport flaggers and construction teams. Distribute traffic control signs and markers as needed. Operate flagging paddles that meet Alaska Traffic Manual standards.
Requirements:
Strong verbal communication skills, and the ability to read, write, and relay instructions clearly. Good eye-hand coordination, hearing, and vision (corrective allowed). Ability to quickly respond to unexpected events or hazards. Physically fit to stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work independently without supervision. Must be equipped with and proficient in two-way radio use (CTAF 122.9 MHz). Must use a flagging paddle that conforms to Alaska Traffic Manual standards. Pre-hire drug test required.
