Job Description
Job Description We are looking for a Traffic Control Technician to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. The Traffic Control Technician will work under the direction of the Traffic Control Manager to implement and oversee traffic management plans, ensuring safe work environments and safeguarding the wellbeing of workers and the public. This position will collaborate with other departments to ensure effective traffic flow, compliance with regulations, and the safe execution of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and manage traffic control strategies to ensure safe work practices and compliance with regulations under the guidance of the Traffic Control Manager Ensure safety compliance in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations related to traffic control Protect employees, the public, and assets from accidents, injuries, and losses through enforcement of safe work practices Assist with the setup and management of work zones, including the placement of traffic control devices and signs Serve as a subject matter expert in traffic control procedures and professional flagging Supervise and direct traffic control personnel to maintain safety and efficiency on job sites Provide regular communication and leadership to foster team building and morale Assist with workforce planning to meet staffing needs and project demands Prevent accidents and safety exposures by investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions Facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and new hire orientations Track and audit the use of traffic control devices, equipment, and labor for ongoing projects Address customer service concerns in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction Identify opportunities for process improvement and growth in the service area Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and training of new team members to reduce turnover and promote efficiency Ensure compliance with relevant labor agreements and union guidelines, if applicableQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred 2-4 years of experience in a traffic control or related field, construction industry preferred Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills Excellent organizational and motivational abilities Proficient with Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems Significant experience building and developing high-performing teams Ability to develop and execute business plans Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices Must maintain a current, valid driver's license with a clean driving record, free from suspensions or restrictionsJob Type:
