Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Cimarron is seeking experienced Cost Account Managers familiar with Space Operations and Ground Operations. The chosen candidate can work from the following locations. Northern VA
Seal Beach, Ca
El Segundo, CA Key Duties:
Establish and maintain budgets for assigned Control Account Plans (CAPs).
Define and baseline the scope, schedule, and budget for assigned work packages.
Develop resource-loaded schedules aligned with program milestones.
Implement and maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance within assigned control accounts.
Calculate and report Earned Value (EV), Planned Value (PV), and Actual Costs (AC).
Analyze Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) to assess program health.
Identify and report variances at completion (VAC) and estimate at completion (EAC).
Prepare and submit timely Variance Analysis Reports (VARs) for cost and schedule variances exceeding threshold.
Identify root causes of variances and develop corrective action plans.
Brief program leadership and customers on control account status and performance trends.
Identify, document, and mitigate risks and opportunities within assigned control accounts.
Maintain risk registers and support program-level risk reviews.
Coordinate with functional leads, subcontract managers, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost and schedule reporting.
Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and other customer-facing reviews.
Ensure alignment between technical scope, schedule, and budget across disciplines.
Ensure control account activities comply with DCMA, DCAA, and program-specific EVMS requirements.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for all control account activities.

Cimarron is seeking Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers across Associate, and Experienced levels to rapidly prototype, develop, and field novel space and hypersonic capabilities. The chosen candidate will design GN&C algorithms, build high‑fidelity simulations, implement and test flight software, and support integration and flight test in both atmospheric and space environments. Key Duties:
Design, implement, and verify guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, and hypersonic/airborne platforms. Develop and maintain 6‑DOF dynamics simulations and associated analysis tools for mission and performance assessment. Implement and validate GN&C flight software (MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes) and integrate with testbeds and avionics. Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design, novel orbit concepts, and trajectory optimization. Apply aerodynamics, atmospheric flight mechanics, and controls knowledge to support the design of re-entry guidance, navigation, and flight control functions Develop powered and unpowered guidance laws and autonomy tools for on‑orbit and atmospheric operations. Design, develop, and integrate ground systems architecture in support of space, defense, or communications programs. Define ground system requirements and ensure traceability to higher-level system and mission requirements. Develop and maintain ground system interface control documents (ICDs) and technical specifications. Support system architecture trades and design decisions across ground and space segments. Lead ground systems integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) activities. Develop and test plans, procedures, and acceptance test criteria for ground system components. Coordinate hardware and software integration across subsystems including command and control, telemetry, and data processing. Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT). Provide technical support for ground system installation, commissioning, and operational standup. Develop and maintain ground system operations concepts (CONOPs) and procedures. Support anomaly resolution and root cause analysis for ground system issues. Assist in the development of operator training materials and maintenance documentation. Design and support ground communication networks including RF, satellite links, and data networks. Ensure ground system connectivity and interoperability with space vehicle or airborne assets. Define and manage link budgets and RF frequency coordination. Capture, track, and manage ground system requirements using tools such as DOORS or JAMA. Prepare and present technical documentation for design reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR. Maintain configuration control of ground system baselines and support change management processes. Coordinate with systems engineers, software developers, RF engineers, and program managers across the program. Interface with government customers and prime contractors during technical reviews and program milestones. Support proposal efforts including technical writing, basis of estimate (BOE) development, and staffing. Travel Up to 25%
