Compensation:
$50-55/hr (DOE) Your mission Own the QC department's daily execution and throughput in a high-mix prototyping environment. Program and optimize Zeiss CMM (or similar) for dimensional inspections on close‑tolerance aerospace parts. Guide and assign work to QC Inspectors (QI), acting as the final escalation point for verification. Perform and validate manual inspections using surface plate methods, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools. Resolve discrepancies between CMM data and manual measurements. Conduct/support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and document in High QA. Partner with machinists, QE, and production to maintain efficient part flow. Ensure conformance to customer drawings, GD&T, and tolerance requirements. Maintain organized inspection records and support internal/external audits. Continuously improve QC efficiency, throughput, and processes. What you bring 5-10+ years of mechanical QC inspection in precision machining Expertise interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T Proven capability with CMM and manual inspection techniques Experience leading/directing QC Inspectors (QI) Strong communication, organization, and decisive problem-solving Thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments Standards and proficiencies
