The U.S. operation is based in Connecticut and supports assembly, dispatch and field activity for the growing U.S. business. Job summary We are looking for a hands-on Light Assembly & Dispatch Lead to support a small industrial manufacturing and assembly operation in Connecticut. This is not a desk-based coordination role. The right person will be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the operation in a workshop / light manufacturing environment, assembling metal component parts, quality checking finished items, packing for dispatch, controlling stock and helping keep work moving in a steady, organised way. The role combines practical shop-floor work with responsibility for stock accuracy, dispatch quality, work readiness and general production flow. Responsibilities Carry out hands-on light assembly of component parts and related shop-floor work QC check finished assemblies before dispatch Pack finished items and sub-assemblies for dispatch Control inventory accuracy and stock location Ensure materials, components and work packs are ready before jobs are released Coordinate inbound receiving and outbound shipping Coordinate movement of welded sub-assemblies to and from coating suppliers Maintain visibility of shortages, bottlenecks and work in progress Help schedule daily and weekly assembly / dispatch activity Support a steady, orderly and productive workshop environment Work closely with UK operations and local management on priorities and readiness Requirements Experience in light assembly, dispatch, warehouse control, production coordination or similar Comfortable working in a practical workshop / industrial environment Strong attention to detail, especially on quality and dispatch readiness Able to combine hands-on work with stock control and task coordination Reliable, organised and calm under pressure Positive, practical attitude and willing to help where needed Forklift experience helpful but not essential Ideal profile This role suits someone practical, steady and well organised who is happy working on the floor rather than behind a desk. The right person will be capable of assembling and checking products properly, keeping dispatch under control and making sure the operation runs in a regular, no-drama way. Job Details $28.00 - $31.00 per hour depending on experience
