Job Description

Job Title:
Distribution System Operator Hiring process is lengthy so please note that this role will not start until Mid-May Job Description Distribution Systems Operator - Control Center The Distribution Systems Operator supports the day-to-day operation of an electrical distribution control center to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power delivery to customers. This role is responsible for monitoring, operating, controlling, and maintaining the integrity of the electrical distribution system in accordance with established procedures. Operators perform real-time system monitoring, analysis, and control within a modern Smart Grid control center environment. The control center utilizes advanced systems and applications to support efficient, reliable, and safe power delivery. Within an integrated Smart Grid ecosystem—combining operational technology (OT), information technology (IT), and supporting systems—operators have a consolidated view of current network conditions, enabling timely analysis and effective response to system events.
Work Schedule Training Schedule:
Monday through Thursday 10-hour shifts 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Post-Training Schedule:
Rotating shift schedule 3 consecutive workdays followed by 4 days off Then 4 consecutive workdays followed by 3 days off Includes one weekend shift per month Includes one week of night shift approximately every six weeks This Role Is a

Work Environment The role involves working in a control center with a consolidated environment for monitoring network conditions. Operators will work behind multiple computer screens and are expected to monitor the grid during their shifts. The work environment requires adherence to a no-phone policy during shifts, and operators may need to respond to high-volume situations, such as during storms. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McDonough, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
