Aerospace Document Control Specialist Axiom Engineering - 3.0 Wichita, KS Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Office Document workflow management Manufacturing Full Job Description The Document Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring production is ready to go by preparing and verifying all necessary documentation and data before any job is released the shop floor. This includes printing work orders, pulling engineering data, copying CNC programs to USBs, and confirming that all job kits are complete and accurate. Duties Print and prepare work orders based on the production schedule. Pull and compile required engineering documentation (e.g., drawings, specs, travelers). Copy CNC programs and supporting files to USB drives and deliver to appropriate workstations. Verify that each work order kit includes all required components and documentation before release. Maintain up-to-date file organization in the document control system (digital and hard copy). Track revision levels to ensure the latest documents and programs are in use. Support engineers, machinists, and production supervisors with document access and issue resolution. Identify and escalate missing or outdated information before kits reach the shop floor. Maintain compliance with internal procedures and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ITAR). Skills 1-3 years experience in document control, production planning, or similar role in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Strong computer skills; ability to navigate file structures and use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and work orders. Comfortable working with USB devices and simple file transfers for machine programs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently under tight deadlines. Basic understanding of CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing processes. Knowledge of ITAR/export compliance and controlled document handling. Familiarity with configuration management and revision control.
