Clarificion from the agency Open to current permanent FAA employees - ATO and AMA-500 wide Duties Help Ensures th traffic management instructions/restrictions are initied in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. Assesses the facility's capacity and projects an acceptable level of traffic. Issues approprie traffic flow restrictions to adjacent facilities, to space, hold, and reroute aircraft to distribute the flow of traffic and equalize workload among positions. Follows agency policy when implementing traffic management initiives. Maintains awareness of the traffic flow, equipment stus, airport/weher conditions, and traffic forecasts to ensure acceptable levels of traffic, mitige delays, and avoid flights into undesirable mospheric conditions. Maintains familiarizion of all phases of facility operions and aeronautical/meteorological conditions. Maintains currency on required positions of operion. Works under the administrive supervision of the Supervisory Traffic Managment Coordinor. Performance is evalued upon the effectiveness with which assigned program objectives are achieved.
