Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Air Traffic Controller and become a vital part of ensuring the safe, efficient, and orderly flow of air traffic within designated airspace. In this high-energy role, you will coordinate aircraft movements, provide critical instructions to pilots, and monitor air traffic using advanced radar and communication systems. Your leadership, sharp communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail will help maintain safety standards and optimize traffic management in a fast-paced environment. Duties Monitor and control air traffic within assigned sectors using radar, radio, and other communication tools to ensure safe separation of aircraft. Provide clear, concise instructions to pilots regarding altitude, speed, routes, and emergency procedures. Coordinate with ground personnel, airline staff, and emergency responders to facilitate smooth operations during takeoff, landing, and en-route phases. Supervise junior controllers and team members to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards. Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology for precise navigation and situational awareness. Enforce compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Department of Defense (DoD) directives related to aviation operations. Manage time effectively during high-pressure situations to prioritize tasks and respond swiftly to changing conditions. Qualifications Proven supervising experience in a high-stakes environment such as military aviation or civilian air traffic control. Strong understanding of GIS applications relevant to aviation navigation and traffic management. Basic math skills for calculating aircraft speeds, distances, fuel consumption, and other critical metrics. Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing civil aviation operations. Experience with military or DoD aviation procedures is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills for clear interactions with pilots, ground crews, and team members. Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on safety, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
