Job Description

As an Asphalt Plant Weighmaster, you are responsible for the precise weighing and ticketing of all trucks entering and exiting the facility to ensure accurate tracking and accounting of material movement. Serving as the central hub for plant logistics and communication, you will help maintain operational efficiency and workflow continuity. This position operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with mandatory overtime as required based on production demands. Professional appearance is required, including work boots, blue jeans or khakis, and an Earle-issued shirt.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Accurately weigh and generate tickets for all inbound and outbound materials.
  • Verify customer orders, material types, tonnage, and safe numbers during daily start-up procedures.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all material movement.
  • Provide the customer with real-time production updates, including "how much up and how much out"
  • Manage high-volume phone traffic using established professional protocols for both internal and external communications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Plant Operations, Quality Control Lab, onsite truck drivers, and customers.
  • Maintain continuous communication to support efficient truck flow and minimize delays.
  • Complete and submit beginning-of-shift and end-of-shift reports.
  • Ensure accurate job entry and data input into scale system.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of scale specific software.
  • Process cash and credit card transaction accurately and in accordance with company procedures
Customer Service:
o Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, vendors, and customers, creating a professional and welcoming experience. o Provide timely, accurate information regarding orders, materials, pricing, and production status. o Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally. o Maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment. o Build and maintain positive working relationships with repeat customers and onsite personnel. o Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure customer needs are met. o Uphold company standards for service quality, responsiveness, and professionalism at all times.
