Mechanical Quality Control Inspector - Aerospace Manufacturing (Hauppauge, NY)
Hourly:
$24-$30 | Full-Time | On-Site A well?established aerospace manufacturer in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Mechanical Quality Control Inspector with strong experience inspecting precision?manufactured components. This role requires hands?on inspection skills and familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine inspection requirements Perform incoming, in?process, and final inspections on sheet metal parts, machined parts, and assemblies Conduct First Article Inspections using appropriate measurement methods Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools for dimensional checks Perform CMM?related inspection tasks (experience preferred) Inspect raw materials and verify compliance with quality standards Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and metrics Ensure equipment is properly used, maintained, and safe Communicate findings to quality management and production teams Required Qualifications 3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes Ability to read blueprints and GD&T Proficiency with hand measuring tools Ability to independently inspect sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies Computer proficiency Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Experience with AS9100 environments preferred CMM experience preferred U.S. Citizenship required High school diploma or equivalent Compensation & Benefits $24-$30 per hour, depending on experience Paid time off Medical, dental, life insurance FSA options 401(k) with company match Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $30.00
