Ensures th traffic instructions/restrictions are initied in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. The work impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to day operions of the facility. Provides training, coaching and guidance to subordines and facilites team building throughout area(s) of responsibility. Integres support resources with operional needs to maintain effective air traffic control service and may work other than administrive shifts to meet this requirement. Using measures of organizional performance, continuously reviews work processes to assure th results meet the agency's mission and the customer's needs, adds value to facility services, and are efficiently achieved. Assigns and reviews work. Plans work and sets priorities and schedules. Approves leave; prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordines based on priorities; evalues work performance of subordines ensuring equity of performance standards and rings; gives advice on work and on administrive mters; Identifies and arranges for developmental and other training needs of subordines. Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordines; hears and resolves group grievances and serious employee complaints; effects disciplinary actions; recommends/approves selections and transfers; recommends/approves awards. Deals with labor representives concerning workforce issues. Adjusts staffing levels and work procedures to accommode resource decisions made higher levels. Provides input to and contributes to the accomplishment of facility goals and objectives. Serves as a member of the management team to improve organizional performance and to meet stregic goals. Meets and has frequent contacts with both internal and external customers including subordines, other peer management representives, union representives, administrive support staff within the facility, higher ranking managers and supervisors, members of the general public, and representives of the aviion industry. The Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinor reports to either the Operions Manager or Support Manager.
