Traffic Control Technician (Work Zone) Roadway / Work Zone Safety

Job Summary Join our team as a Traffic Control Technician specializing in Work Zone Safety! In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites and work zones. Your expertise will help protect workers, motorists, and pedestrians by implementing proper traffic control measures, setting up safety devices, and maintaining clear communication with construction crews. Duties Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, including cones, drums, barricades, signs, arrow boards, and message boards Follow approved Work Zone Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and supervisor direction Perform lane closures and traffic shifts in accordance with DOT standards Assist with flagging operations when required (training provided if needed) Load/unload equipment safely and keep work areas clean and organized Perform routine inspections of devices and replace damaged or missing equipment Communicate with crew members and supervisors via radio/phone Maintain awareness of traffic flow and changing site conditions Ensure compliance with all safety rules Complete job paperwork, device counts, and required documentation Skills Work zone traffic control experience Familiarity with traffic control devices and standards for work zone safety Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and directing traffic safely Attention to detail in inspecting equipment, signage, and work zone conditions ATSSA certifications preferred ( flagger, traffic control technician) Join us in creating safer roads for everyone! Pay:

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
