The essential duties & responsibilities for a Parking Attendant include: Patrol area to prevent thefts from parked automobiles. Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized. Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary. Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts. Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking areas. Must be available on call and to work overtime when necessary. Must be available to work all shifts as needed: Monday - Friday, 10:00am-4:30pm. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and all levels of supervision. Represent well in all contacts. Works as a team member. Always maintains cultural sensitivity. Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions. Other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisors. Qualified individual must be able to regularly pull, push, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Some positions are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger and/or handle, talk and hear. The following may also be required: Reaching with hands and arms. Ability to work in outside weather conditions. Ability to work in smoking environment. Must have acceptable hearing levels and be able to wear radio earphones, so as to properly monitor radio transmissions. Please read through all the employment requirements below. Must always be well groomed, neat, and in company dress code/uniform whenever reporting to work.
