Detailer Department:

Sales Reports To:

Sales Manager Key Responsibilities Detailing & Vehicle Prep:

Vehicle Cleaning:

Wash, vacuum, and thoroughly detail the interior and exterior of vehicles to make them showroom-ready.

Reconditioning:

Perform polishing, buffing, waxing, and stain removal as needed on new and pre-owned inventory.

Accessory Prep:

Install dealer tags, buyers guides, and promotional materials on vehicles.

Lot Management & Logistics:

Inventory Organization:

Keep the new, used, and service vehicle lots neat and orderly. Arrange and park units in accordance with strict dealership display standards.

Vehicle Transport:

Safely drive and shuttle vehicles to and from different areas of the dealership (service bays, detail shops, showroom, and storage).

Lot Upkeep:

Monitor the physical grounds, removing debris, trash, and performing minor weather-related cleanup when necessary.

Customer Service & Support:

Customer Shuttle:

Assist with transporting customers to and from their homes or work if offering valet and shuttle services.

Delivery Assistance:

Help prepare and present newly purchased Ford vehicles to customers, ensuring they are spotless upon delivery.

Errands:

Run necessary errands for various departments (e.g., Parts or Service).

Qualifications & Skills License & Driving:

Valid, clean Driver's License and a clean driving record.

Experience:

1+ years of experience in automotive detailing, vehicle reconditioning, or a dealership porter role is highly preferred.

Manual Transmission:

Ability to safely operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Physical Capability:

Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, and able to lift/move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Conditions:

Willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Background Check:

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
