For close to a hundred years, Taj Campton Place has been a sanctuary for sophisticates and discerning business travelers visiting San Francisco. A historic site, the hotel marries two early twentieth century buildings and has a classical European charm with an ambience that exudes privacy, warmth and luxury. Located along Stockton Street, on the prestigious Union Square, this serene retreat is a short distance from the financial district, premier art galleries, renowned museums and the city's best-known stores and restaurants. Campton Place Restaurant is now called the Bombay Brasserie. Our cuisine is a blending of contemporary French California with spice route influences.

Essential Duties:

Welcome and escort guests and their luggage to and from guest rooms. Inform guests of all hotel services, features and provide information on San Francisco. Responsible for attending to immediate needs of each guest upon arrival and follow through attention throughout their stay. The Bellman must have a thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities and San Francisco attractions, restaurants and streets in the immediate area.

Qualifications:

Previous Hotel experience preferred Flexibility to work AM, PM, Weekends, Overnight and Holidays as needed Maintain professional image at all times while on duty and in the presence of guests Must be able to lift, transport and exert physical effort in transporting guest luggage Ability to drive, park and retrieve guest and visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel, courteously, safely and efficiently according to the hotel's standards. Possess a valid (State) driver's license with a good driving record Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal Flexibility to work AM, PM, Weekends, Holidays and Graveyard shifts as needed Ability to provide legible communication and directions Ability to: Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy Prioritize and organize Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment Follow directions thoroughly Understand and anticipate guest's service needs Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team Work with minimal supervision Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data Essential Job Functions Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Hotel policies, service procedures, and Taj Luxury standards Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of Hotel equipment Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day Maintain positive guest relations at all times Resolve guest complains, ensuring guest satisfaction Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas Company website: www.tajcamptonplace.com
