50/hr The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by safely and efficiently parking and retrieving guest vehicles while creating a warm, professional, and welcoming first and last impression of the resort. This role assists guests with arrival and departure, luggage handling when needed, and directions or general property information, while maintaining a high level of courtesy, urgency, and attention to safety. Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings. Maintain accurate records of vehicle information, valet tickets, and key control procedures. Drive guest vehicles carefully and in accordance with company safety standards. Inspect vehicles for existing damage prior to parking and report concerns to management. Monitor valet drive and parking areas to ensure traffic flow, safety, and cleanliness. Communicate effectively with front desk, bell staff, security, and management regarding guest needs and operational issues. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Be knowledgeable of all VIP areas. Be aware of all daily events. Report Safety or Guests Hazards to the Guest services management or Safety and Loss Prevention team. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Must have thorough knowledge of the hotels, its' features, and benefits. Load and unload luggage carts. Escort guests and deliver luggage to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities (hours of outlets, pool, and exercise room, etc.). Provide a brief tour of the guest room highlighting the main features and benefits. Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags. Deliver luggage or/and amenities to the guest rooms. Provide shuttle service throughout Hotel via golf cart and guest services vehicles. Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance of guest service vehicles ands golf carts/ Assist with room changes. Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities. Maintain list of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc. Assist Houseperson with guest requests. Provide information, maps and directions as required. Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior valet, bell, guest services, or hospitality experience preferred. Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred. Strong guest service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Working Conditions and Schedule Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to run, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift/move luggage or items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to enter, exit, and operate a variety of vehicles safely. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
