Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Valet will provide prompt and courteous valet parking service to all hotel guests and assist Bellperson as needed. This position reports to the Guest Services Manager.

• Park and deliver vehicles to and from the garage basement promptly, efficiently, and safely
• Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all time
• Responsible for returning the guest vehicle in the same condition as it was left, i.e. seats, radio and mirrors in the same position
• Responsible for locking the car and returning the keys with properly marked tags to lock the box.
• Cars that cannot be locked properly should be noted on the valet ticket
• Responsible for completing tickets according to protocol, including inspecting the outside of the car and writing down any obvious damage
• Report damages to a guest's car immediately to the Guest Services Manager or Manager on Duty, completing incident reports immediately
• Assist guests with vehicle problems or direct them to the concierge for assistance
• Keep valet area clean and orderly at all times
• Assist at the front door at the Doorperson/Bellperson's request
• Assist with the collection of monies for hourly parking
• Reconciliation of vehicles for overnight parking
• Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Driver's License, with no violationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Familiarity with hotel fire and safety procedures
• Familiar with hotel services, hours of operation
• Knowledge of daily functions, locations and times to assist guests with inquiries
• Excellent communication & guest relations skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to comply with all policies and procedures for the Rooms Division, The Little Nell and Aspen One
• Ability to assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
• Ability to complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand
• Ability to be a team player
• Ability to drive a stick shift carAdditional InformationWork Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, see, hear, sit, drive a shuttle/car for extended periods of time; squat, kneel and bend
• Regularly work/drive in adverse weather conditions. Frequently drive in bright sunlight and at night. Exposure to noises that cause distraction and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
