Independent Contractor About Us Fire & Tide Beach Bonfires creates elevated, luxury beach bonfire experiences for guests visiting the Emerald Coast. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, beautiful setups, and unforgettable beach nights. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Bonfire Attendant to set up, manage, and break down beach bonfire events. This is a hands-on, sometimes a little dirty, outdoor role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working independently, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport bonfire equipment, seating, and supplies to event sites and back to storage facility afterwards (using personal vehicle). Safely ignite, monitor, and manage beach bonfires according to training, safety, and county permit regulations. Interact with guests in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner. Ensure all equipment is set up properly before guests arrive (chairs, fire pit, lighting, etc.). Maintain the bonfire during the event, including adding wood and ensuring safety at all times. Break down and remove all equipment, debris, and trash at the end of each event. Conduct safety checks before, during, and after each bonfire. Report any issues, maintenance needs, or incidents to management promptly. Follow all local code requirements and county laws at all times.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license Available to work evening shifts between the hours of 3PM-11PM, including weekends. Ability to lift, load, and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication and customer service skills. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently. Previous hospitality, events, or outdoor work experience preferred.
Work Environment:
Evening outdoor shifts on the beach. Moderate to heavy lifting required. Average shift length is 6-7 hours, including packing and unpacking time. Frequent standing, bending, walking on sand, and up and down stairs with equipment to the beach access points.
Compensation:
