GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant assists in the day-to-day operations of the golf shop. This position is the "first contact" position when members and guests enter the golf shop. The staff member's responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
Essential Job Functions:
Checking in members and guests utilizing the point-of-sale system. Taking payment via credit card, cash & or member charge. Answering phones, taking tee times, and dealing with individual members' and guests' needs. Assist a clean and orderly pro shop (folding clothes, vacuuming, cleaning, etc.) Maintain a knowledge of facility offerings. Assist in monthly inventory counts.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED; Golf Knowledge is a plus but not required General computer skills Customer service experience
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Computer-Printer/Scanner-Telephone Working Conditions:
Primarily office work in a climate-controlled environment. Some outdoor work, with exposure to high temperatures and varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and SW Florida temperatures.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, walk and drive Able to lift and carry up 50 lbs- Able to use his/her upper extremities for repetitive- (Simple Grasping, Pushing/Pulling, Fine Manipulation) In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to: exercise honesty, integrity, and respect with all guests, members, and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers, guests, and members, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, work safely in compliance with all safety policies, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. The employee is also expected to perform other duties and functions as required and occasionally assigned.
