INVENTORY PORTER
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Drive vehicles to and from showroom, exterior vehicle display areas, service department, gas station, or other storage areas to designated location as needed to maintain inventory and assist in retrieval of vehicles. Fill vehicles with fuel as needed. Receive and inspect vehicles delivered to dealership to ensure vehicles are free of damage. If damaged is seen during inspection, document damage to dealership standards. Ensure required documents and RFID tags are placed in correct vehicle and keys and books delivered to the inventory control clerk. Organize and maintain keys and key tags in key boxes. Deliver keys and other materials various departments as needed. Perform general clean-up of demo vehicles and other vehicles as required Keep vehicle lots and designated department neat and organized. Proactively communicate potential issues with customers, management and other departments in order to provide the best possible customer experience. Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures; perform other duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Qualifications and Skills:
Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must participate in RBM's normal screening process which includes: completing a full employment application; satisfactory criminal, credit and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries. High school diploma or the equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities is required. Must have a clean driving record and be insurable. Basic communication and problem solving skills. Basic mathematical skills using American units of measure. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
Physical demands include:
constantly position body and move in order to retrieve vehicles from parking lots; inspect and drive vehicles; detect and identify vehicle issues and shop safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 20lbs occasionally, 10lbs frequently); operate tools and equipment; repetitive motion. Work is conducted inside, outside, on public roadways, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehicles, with occasional exposure to chemicals.
