Our team is passionate about offering support and comfort to grieving families during their most difficult times.Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Crematory Driver to join our team. This role is vital in transporting animals with the utmost care and respect, ensuring the safety and comfort of every family we serve. In addition to animal transport, the position involves maintaining the fleet to ensure it runs smoothly and safely.Key Responsibilities:
Safely and professionally transport animals to and from the crematory Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is well-stocked and ready for transport Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition Communicate clearly and empathetically with grieving families and clients, providing a compassionate and professional experience Uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions and ensure vehicles are kept presentable at all times Assist with scheduling and tracking animal transport requests Follow all company policies and local regulations for animal transport and fleet maintenance Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, including carrying animals, equipment, or supplies as needed Must be able to pass a personal background screening Texting and driving will not be tolerated; safe driving practices are a must Maintain a professional appearance at all times, including wearing clean, company-approved uniforms or attireQualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no accidents or major violations) Experience with vehicle maintenance or willingness to learn basic fleet upkeep Compassionate and professional communication skills when interacting with families and clients Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and discretion Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in animal care or transportation is a plus, but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Must demonstrate a commitment to safety by avoiding texting while driving Must maintain a professional appearance at all times Why Sweet Dreams Crematory?
