ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and assist all patrons in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner while upholding course policies. Assist customers with tee-time reservations, check-ins, and payment processing. Process green fees, cart fees, merchandise sales, and other point of sale transactions accurately. Answer phones and respond to customer questions regarding tee times, rates, policies, and course conditions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop environment. Assist with merchandise stocking, displays, and inventory organization. Verify receipts and communicate with outside staff as needed to ensure smooth player flow. Monitor weather conditions to alert visitors of any potentially dangerous conditions and suspend play as required by course protocols (i.e. lightning strike within 10 miles, wind in excess of 50 mph, etc.). Communicate customer concerns or operational issues to the Golf Shop Manager or supervisor. Support the Golf Shop Manager as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY
Knowledge of basic golf course operations. Product knowledge of Shop Merchandise Working knowledge of City or County government a plus.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent education. Previous experience in cash handling.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Indiana Driver's License required.
EQUIPMENT
Copier, facsimile machine, computer, cash register, telephone, calculator, credit card machine, golf cart, and portable radio.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required in this job include vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in office settings, with moderate inside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office and moderately loud in the field. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions. Entire office is smoke free.
