PURPOSE OF JOB
This individual contributor position is responsible for ensuring strong customer service by safely operating motor vehicles, including driving customers to their destinations. Also responsible for operating motor vehicles on the lot, checking in new vehicles, assigning stock numbers, ensuring proper keys and tags, and washing and waxing vehicles.
JOB DUTIES
Service Drive Operational Duties:
Operates motor vehicles to safely and efficiently transport service/repair customers to off-site locations, such as their homes or places of employment. Physically checks new vehicles into the retail facility, noting and reporting any damage from transit. Assigns stock numbers to each new vehicle, puts the number in the vehicle window, and ensures that the proper keys are in the vehicle and tagged. Parks vehicles in inventory, in stock for new vehicles, or in the service area for vehicles being serviced. Checks retailer trades for possible damage. Washes and waxes new vehicles and dresses the tires. Washes serviced vehicles and moves them to the designated service parking area. Frequently checks status of new and pre-owned vehicles to ensure proper detailing prior to sale, such as working with the Detail team members to detail, fill up gas tanks, wash and wax, etc. in preparation for sale. Provides back-up support to Detail team members as may be needed. General Ensure prompt and regular attendance. Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management. Travel as business needs may require. Quality & Continuous Improvement Personally commit to quality in all aspects of work. Provide "World Class Customer Service" for internal and external customers. Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) for continuous improvement. Participate in teams to research, measure, and correct problems and to strive for process improvement. Communicate and exemplify the Company's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values, and Philosophy.

Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
Experience:
Prior automotive industry experience is preferred. Experience safely operating motor vehicles is preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
Demonstrate strong customer service skills. Demonstrate safe driving practices in accordance with legal and departmental requirements. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Ability to estimate time of service or repair jobs for purposes of efficient scheduling. Time management skills to meet customer needs and prioritize accordingly. Strong communications skills with customers, coworkers, management, vendors, and others in the course of our business. Maintain confidentiality of business information. Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
