Shop Assistant

Alternative Air is looking for a reliable, hardworking Shop Assistant to join our growing team. This role is essential to keeping our HVAC and plumbing operations running smoothly by maintaining organization, supporting technicians, and ensuring materials are ready for job sites. Responsibilities Operate a skid steer, forklift, and telehandler safely and efficiently Unload delivery trucks and verify incoming inventory Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, and in bins Maintain a clean and safe shop environment (sweeping, dusting, mopping, and general upkeep) Pick up and deliver parts and materials to job sites as needed Assist with general shop tasks Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, forklift, telehandler) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Why Join Alternative Air?
