Job Description

Title:
21c Night Security /
Valet Profile:
Committed to great customer service and has a passion for promoting 21c Museum Hotels. Very thorough and task oriented person who can complete menial as well as substantial tasks under various conditions. Multi-skilled and able to hop into any position within their department at any time. Has ability and tolerance to manage a diverse work force and can relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. Should be skilled at creating a culture of care, concern and accountability.

FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Search for, respond to and handle any security problems, issues, concerns and disaster emergency situations in accordance with all policies, procedures and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the hotel's assets, guests, and employees.
Specific Duties:
Patrol all areas of the hotel property including outside parking area. Note, search for, handle and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, destruction and/or suspicious or undesirable persons and escort off property, if necessary. Document a concise security report on a daily log including incidents of theft, accidents and safety violations and submit to your manager with in a 24hr period. Complete the necessary security forms to document losses of property or personal injury to guest or employee and submit to your manager in a timely manner. Maintain familiarity of all hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, and notify appropriate authorities. Conduct investigations of security incidents
  • Writing and documenting events and submitting to your Manager in a timely manner Enforce the 'No Solicitation Policy' of the hotel while respecting the open door policy of the museum.
Escort and witness cash handling as needed. Collect Breakfast Door Knockers from Rooms and turn in to desk by 6am each day.

Night Manager/Auditor/Rooms Manager/Managing Director Job Requirements:
Valid Drivers License + 2 year Clean Driving Record. Good communication skills, ability to recognize drug and alcohol abuse. Ability to communicate through a portable radio. Excellent hearing required to communicate with guests, employees, managers, use radio. Excellent vision required for emergencies, visual safety inspections. Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with guests, employees, managers, use radio Excellent comprehension and literacy required to complete reports, logs. Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying: May be necessary to carry people or equipment in emergency situation. Mobility
  • would be necessary 100% of the time in responding to emergencies and patrolling the building. Continuous standing
  • would not be standing in one place for any extended length of time. Uses stairs in responding to fire alarms
  • no elevators.
High school education or equivalent experience. Minimum two years prior experience in loss prevention. Use of portable radio, telephone, computer, copy machine. Work inside 85% of 8 hours; outside 15% of 8 hours. A 21c Team Member… 1. Notices and corrects details such as fingerprints on windows, marks on walls, light bulbs that are out. 2.
