Summer Marina Attendant

Job Description Serves as an attendant to the Marina, reporting to the Manager of Marine Facilities and the Maintenance Worker in absence of the Manager. As such is responsible for performing various duties associated with Marina operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB TASKS

(Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions) Assists docking boats when customers are buying fuel Takes fees and payments, operating cash register/credit card machine Manages change and gives receipts Receives incoming telephone calls and visitors, rendering assistance as needed Checks boats at slips periodically and informs supervisor and/or boat owners if problems are detected Inventories supplies and submits requests for supplies to Manager Assists with repairs to facilities as required Picks up trash in parking lots Clean restrooms Performs other duties as assigned

OTHER RELATED FACTORS

Must work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate orally and in writing Ability to frequently walk and stand and occasionally stoop, kneel or crawl Ability to work as a member of a team Knowledge of actions to take in the case of an emergency such as fire, sinking, storms, etc. Possession of a driver's license Ability to communicate with others including the public in a friendly, courteous manner Ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine Ability to perform wood and mechanical repair work

Education and Experience:
