Service Department Porter/Technician Support

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Porter/Technician Support. The Porter/Technician Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our service department by ensuring units, facilities, and workflow are clean, organized, and running efficiently. This role directly supports our technicians and helps maintain the premium experience Burt Lake Marina is known for. This postion clould lead to several career paths within our team, including technician roles to parts and service support roles.

Essential role and functions:

Lot and Yard Management:

Move and arrange boats and vehicles on the lot or in storage to maximize space, including towing trailers and operating tractors.

Service Department Support:

Transfer units into service bays, organize service areas, and assist technicians with general labor. Unit check-in and checkout

Support:

Assist the service advisor team with checking in and checking out customer units.

Inventory Preparation:

Assist in unloading new units from transport trucks and inspecting for damage.

Unit Cleaning & Detailing:

Thoroughly wash, wax, and detail boats, PWCs, and off-road vehicles to ensure they are showroom-ready. Qualifications Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to operate tractors and tow trailers. General computer skills. Strong time management and organization skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Basic knowledge of boat maintenance and repair. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
