Job Description

River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Seasonal Parking Lot Attendant! Maximum position duration of 4 months Experience-based pay ranging from: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour 7 - 21 Hours/Week Candidates without availability to work weekends will not be considered. Work for a community-owned grocery store in downtown Stillwater and help support a sustainable local food system. As a cornerstone of locally and naturally produced foods for more than 45 years, River Market Community Co-op knows outstanding customer service is vital to the long-term success of the store. Parking Lot Attendants are responsible for the customer experience related to our parking lot and outdoor areas. They provide exemplary customer service to all and support the operations of the Front End.
Non-union position Reports to:
Customer Service Manager Maintain cleanliness and appearance of parking lot and outdoor grounds area Communicate parking regulations to River Market shoppers and alternative parking options to non-shoppers Initiate towing for vehicles in violation of parking regulations per established procedures. Coordinate with Front End Shift Coordinator, towing company, and vehicle owners Provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service and store security Answer questions in a friendly, helpful, timely and accurate manner or refer unsolved questions or problems to Front End Shift Coordinator Candidates interested in a Co-op career, please submit a resume! Requirements Comfortable with challenging interactions and able to diffuse conflict Sufficient assertive skills to direct traffic and people and remain calm Stand and walk for several hours Push carts on flat and inclined surfaces Able to work outdoors in the weather
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed. Constant (67-100%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, working outdoors in the weather, walking, standing, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist Occasional (1-33%): Sitting, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist, lifting and reaching waist to shoulder, lifting and reaching above the shoulder
