Parking Services Attendant Duke Clinical Research Institute United States, North Carolina, Durham 300 West Morgan Street (Show on map) Jun 22, 2026 Be You. Be Bold. Choose Duke. As a valued member of Duke University, you'll support the daily operations of our Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS), helping ensure safe, efficient, and reliable parking services across campus. What You'll Do
Parking Systems & Equipment Support Troubleshoot and repair parking meters, gates, and control devices
Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and part replacement
Assist with installation of wiring, circuits, and system upgrades
Support Parking Systems Technicians and develop technical troubleshooting skills Facility & Grounds Maintenance Maintain parking facilities (painting lines, signage, curbs, asphalt patching)
Install/remove traffic and parking signs
Perform minor landscaping, drainage maintenance, and lot upkeep
Coordinate repairs with external contractors Operations & Customer Support Collect parking fees and transport funds from payment devices
Monitor parking usage and conduct lot counts
Observe and report violations; issue citations as needed
Assist with traffic control, signage, and parking operations during events Reporting & Compliance Track maintenance activities, equipment issues, and system performance
Provide reports on repairs, outages, and recommendations What You Bring Basic knowledge of electronics, low-voltage systems, or mechanical repair (or willingness to learn)
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform hands-on maintenance tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks

Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $24.57. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Your total compensation goes beyond the dollars on your paycheck.
