Job Description
Lot PorterPosition Summary The Lot Porter is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of dealership inventory and grounds while supporting the sales and service departments. This position plays a vital role in ensuring vehicles are displayed properly, customer areas remain clean and organized, and vehicles are readily available when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Organize and maintain new and used vehicle inventory on the dealership lot. Ensure all vehicles are clean, fueled, charged (if applicable), and properly displayed. Move vehicles between departments, storage locations, and customer delivery areas. Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming inventory. Maintain the cleanliness of the dealership lot, parking areas, and customer-facing spaces. Install dealer tags, stock numbers, and window stickers as required. Prepare vehicles for customer deliveries and test drives. Shuttle vehicles to and from service appointments, body shops, auctions, and other locations as needed. Assist the sales and service teams with daily operational needs. Monitor inventory placement and report any vehicle damage immediately. Assist with snow removal, lot maintenance, and special dealership events as needed. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to safely operate vehicles and dealership equipment. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude. Excellent communication skills and professional appearance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the workday. Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
