Job Description
A car dealership lot porter is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dealership's lot and vehicles. They move vehicles, maintain their appearance, and ensure the lot is safe and presentable for customers. This role is crucial for creating a positive first impression and supporting smooth dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Movement:
.Safely and efficiently move vehicles between the lot, service area, and other designated locations.Lot Organization:
.Arrange vehicles for optimal display and accessibility, ensuring a well-organized and appealing lot.Vehicle Maintenance:
.Keep vehicles clean and presentable, both inside and out, including light cleaning and maintenance tasks.Customer Service:
.Assist customers with inquiries, direct them to appropriate personnel, and provide a welcoming atmosphere.Safety and Security:
.Maintain a safe and clean environment on the lot, reporting any hazards or concerns to management.Inventory Management:
.Assist with tracking vehicle locations and ensuring accurate inventory records.Basic Maintenance:
.Perform tasks like checking tire pressure, filling fluids, and reporting any mechanical issues.Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License:
A clean driving record is essential for operating vehicles on the lot.Physical Stamina:
The ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, as well as lift up to 50 pounds. Attention toDetail:
Maintaining cleanliness and organization requires careful attention to detail.Customer Service Skills:
Interacting with customers and providing assistance requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.Mechanical Knowledge:
