Here is what you will be doing: Must be able to handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and always ensure damage prevention. Porter's responsibilities also include driving off-site to do dealership tasks when necessary. It is also necessary for these individuals to take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements. Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt Assign stock control numbers to cards Catalog and store keys Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department Other duties as assigned Here is what you will need: High School Diploma/GED is required Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test. Valid driver's license Candidates must be willing to work unusual business hours, such as holidays, weekends, and evenings, to be considered a Sales Porter. Positive attitude and high energy and excellent communication and social skills. Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based. Be able to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
