Job Description
Overview Oversees and coordinates the work of all those involved in guest services while on the club's golf course, particularly Starters, Rangers, Outside Operations Staff and Driving Range Attendants. Monitors equipment and golf car use. Experience Required Knowledge of golf. Good communication and customer service skills required. Essential Responsibilities To direct and supervise outside golf staff (Starters, Rangers, Range Attendants, and outside personnel) as to their responsibilities.
- Communicate with Golf Shop staff so as to be aware of upcoming events and to coordinate golf events.
- Works very closely and at times take directions from the Assistant Golf Professionals on day-to-day operations.
- Schedule all outside operations staff.
- Responsible for assisting members and guests in all outside service needs.
- Must be able to read and maintain a tee sheet to accurately reflect rounds played. Take additions to daily tee sheet.
- Train outside operations employees on their duties.
- Prepare golf carts for play and clean them after usage. Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of vehicle and report any necessary maintenance.
- Assist golfers with clubs: loading, cleaning, and storing, lost and found, and any other.
- Inspects employees' uniforms to ensure they are presentable to members and their guests.
- Maintain range including picking, cleaning, and bagging balls. Disperse them to members and guests.
- Maintain rental set inventory to include: signing them in and out, cleaning them after play, accurately keep an inventory of sets on hand and those in need of repair and replacements.
- Implement a preventative maintenance program for all carts.
- Maintain facility fleet carts and records.
- Keep work area neat and orderly, including cart ramps, bag drop, and general area around golf shop and cart barn and maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Repairs or reports damaged, broken or misused equipment to management.
- Operate golf carts and shop equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Assists with other duties as needed and as directed by Assistant Golf Professional. Benefits
