Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented part-time Parking Attendant/Utility Person to join our team. As a Parking Attendant/Utility Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors, overseeing parking facilities, and performing general maintenance and support tasks.
Responsibilities:
Patrol parking facility, and issue infractions in a manner that promotes positive interaction with merchants, tenants, and visitors. Enforce and issue infractions according to the facility parking regulations and applicable state and city laws, ordinances, codes, and regulations. Evaluate and maintain parking spaces, payment/registration applications, meters, and any other parking equipment. Respond to requests and inquiries from the general public and investigate parking-related issues Address parking violators, informing them of the infraction and requesting they correct the violation. If needed, issue violation notices and arrange for the violating vehicle to be towed. Prepare and maintain records, report on violations, and report a daily log of activities. Provide guidance and assistance as needed to all parkers onsite. Update and maintain parking data. The Parking attendant should be able to pay attention to detail to properly monitor parking areas. The Parking attendant will need observation skills to recognize vehicles that have been parked beyond allotted and paid times. The Parking attendant should be physically fit to stand and walk for extended periods while issuing non-compliant vehicle citations, in different weather conditions. The Parking attendant will use technology (smartphone, tablet, computer, belt-mounted printer, etc.) to issue citations to vehicles parked in violation of site policies. Ensure positive experiences for all property tenants and visitors. Ensure the work area is maintained to Douglas Parking/client standards. Responsible for assisting site management and security when required, directing traffic within the site including providing direction to tenants, visitors, staff, and others. Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures Maintaining a clean and organized parking garage, including sweeping, moping, and trash removal. Addressing small issues such as replacing light bulbs, fixing broken signs or making basic repairs to equipment. Assisting with the maintenance and repair of parking garage equipment, including payment systems, gates, and other devices. Assisting with other tasks assigned by supervisor, which may include loading/unloading supplies, painting, or assisting with larger projects. Adhere to Douglas Parking customer service standards. Manage and keep out unauthorized vehicles or any personnel loitering in the lot. Must be skilled at moving and parking vehicles in a confined facility and able to quickly retrieve vehicles. (Must have a valid Driver's License)
Requirements:
Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally. Strong report writing skills to accurately document incidents or violations. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for long periods. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Collect and dispose of all waste materials from designated areas within the garage. Regularly empty trash bins, recycle materials as necessary, and maintain a clean environment by picking up debris from the floor. Ensure all waste disposal follows company protocols. Operate the floor sweeper to clean large garage floors, removing dust, dirt, and debris. Maintain the equipment, ensuring it's in good working condition, and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs. Perform minor repairs and assist with other maintenance-related duties around the garage as assigned by the supervisor.
Rate of Pay:
