VALET DRIVER - MARTINSBURG VA MEDICAL CENTER

This position will provide exceptional customer service while safely and efficiently parking and retrieving guests vehicles. We provide a free vehicle parking and retrieval program at VA Medical locations for Military Veteran patients. VetPride Services prioritizes the recruitment and hiring of Veterans and military personnel.

Monday-Friday, 10:00am-4:00pm

Hourly Rate:

$19.43 |

Health and Welfare Fringe Benefit:

$4.93/hr (paid out to you) •Your Health and Welfare Fringe Benefit will be paid to you in cash (not to exceed 40 hours per week). Your total hourly wage will be $24.36.

Location:

Martinsburg VA Medical Center, 510 Butler Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25405 Primary Duties and Responsibilities Greet valet customers in a professional manner upon their arrival/departure. Assist customers with opening doors and loading/unloading wheelchairs or walkers, as needed. Perform valet area access control responsibilities. Safely drive, park, and retrieve customer vehicles in a timely manner. Closely inspect all vehicles for damage and record findings on valet ticket. Secure all vehicles and return key tag and keys to the valet podium. Follow safe driving procedures and safety protocols at all times. Abide by all rules and regulations set by the VA. Report to duty in company issued uniform; personal hygiene and a professional appearance is expected at all times. Report any incidents, damages, or concerns to management promptly. Provide directions or information about the property when requested. Keep the valet area clean, organized, and presentable. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver s license in the state of employment. Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Must be able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle. Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and cold. Must possess strong customer service skills and the ability to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict. Consistent attendance and reliability required. Ability to understand, speak, and write basic English. Regularly stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and walk quickly. Ability to lift to 30 pounds. Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others. Technical capabilities and basic computer knowledge. Experience Requirements 1-year experience driving manual and automatic transmissions. Valet experience preferred, but not required.
