Overview Join our team as a Local Shuttle Driver and become a vital part of our transportation network! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating shuttle vehicles to transport passengers within designated local routes. Responsibilities Safely operate shuttle vehicles along designated routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs for passengers. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after shifts, checking mechanical systems and safety features to maintain optimal performance. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting passengers warmly, assisting with boarding, and answering questions professionally. Maintain clear communication with dispatch and team members using radios or other communication devices to coordinate routes efficiently. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and maintenance needs; report any vehicle issues promptly for repairs. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as cleaning the vehicle interior and checking fluid levels as needed. Experience Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driving with a strong focus on safety and customer service. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to identify potential issues early and support basic maintenance tasks. Familiarity with paratransit services, motor coach operations, or school bus driving is a plus. Valid driver's license Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Prior experience in transportation roles that require adherence to schedules and safety standards. Ability to handle diverse situations on the road confidently while maintaining professionalism.
