This position offers an opportunity to provide dignified service while supporting families during difficult times. You will operate specialized vehicles to transfer bodies between facilities, funeral homes, and other designated locations, maintaining professionalism and compassion at all times. Your dedication will help uphold the highest standards of care and respect for the departed and their loved ones. Duties Safely operate vehicles or specialized transport vans to move deceased persons between facilities, funeral homes, and other approved locations Assist with loading and unloading bodies with careful handling, including heavy lifting when necessary Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of transport vehicles to ensure safety and professionalism Communicate clearly with team members, facility staff, and families as needed to coordinate transportation schedules Follow all safety protocols and legal requirements related to body transportation, including documentation procedures Ensure respectful handling of remains at all times, adhering to confidentiality and dignity standards Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting professionally with families and facility staff Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure transport safety and reliability Prior experience in customer service roles is a plus, demonstrating empathy and professionalism during sensitive situations Must be dependable with excellent punctuality and adherence to schedules This role is paid and offers a meaningful opportunity to serve your community with dignity.
