Job Description

University Vehicle Driver About the Opportunity The University Vehicle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and/or equipment to and from university-sponsored activities, events, and programs. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and adherence to university and state transportation policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate university-owned vehicles (vans or cars) for scheduled trips, events, and programs. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, university transportation guidelines, and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage reports, and fuel usage records. Provide courteous, professional service to students, staff, and visitors. Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or medical incidents. Support departmental operations as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required depending on vehicle type). Minimum age requirement is 21. Previous professional driving experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with loading/unloading when necessary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to safety and reliability. Must pass background check and university driving clearance process. Willing to get CPR certified
Work Schedule:
Hours vary depending on university events, programs, and transportation needs. Evening, weekend, and occasional overnight availability is required.
Compensation:
