  • Temporary, Part-time, Full-time Job Summary The Driver must be a Class B Driver preferred with a passenger endorsement and is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of passengers to and from assigned destinations.
The Driver operates company vehicles in accordance with company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures while providing excellent service to passengers and maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. This position reports to the Driver and Aide Supervisor, Manager, or another designated supervisor. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to and from assigned locations. Work a split shift schedule. Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions. Ensure passengers board, ride, and exit the vehicle safely. Maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor with passengers, families, clients, coworkers, and the public. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Monitor fuel levels, mileage, and vehicle condition and report maintenance needs promptly. Notify management when an oil change or other scheduled maintenance may be due. Keep the vehicle clean, sanitary, and presentable inside and out in accordance with company standards. Comply with all company safety policies, including cell phone, seatbelt, accident reporting, and timekeeping requirements. Use the company timekeeping system accurately to record all hours worked. Report accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, delays, traffic issues, or vehicle damage immediately to management or dispatch. Obey all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and company driving rules at all times. Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and documentation needed to perform the job. Work cooperatively with aides, dispatch, supervisors, and other team members. Complete logs, reports, mileage records, inspection forms, or other documentation accurately and on time. Assist with emergency procedures and evacuations if needed. Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs. Roles and responsibilities may be adjusted on an as-needed or situational basis. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements. Previous professional driving or transportation experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and follow schedules and directions. Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle. Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times per shift. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and assist with routine passenger support as needed. Ability to inspect and clean the vehicle as required. Ability to remain alert and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Ability to safely perform the essential duties of the position. Ability to operate multiple passenger vehicle. Ability to pass 10 hour behind the wheel driving test.
