Drivers are primarily assigned school-based routes and transport students to and from school and approved programs. This role also includes opportunities to support medical, elderly, and community-based transportation services based on operational needs and driver availability. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with opportunities for year-round work and occasional weekend assignments. Responsibilities Safely transport students and passengers on assigned routes and schedules Provide respectful, door-to-door assistance when required Follow all pickup, drop-off, and service procedures Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain communication with dispatch regarding routes and delays Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle Complete required trip documentation and incident reporting Skills Valid Connecticut driver's license Clean driving record Must be at least 21 years old Connecticut V or S endorsement required based on route assignment Drivers without an endorsement must be willing to obtain one. Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required clearances Reliable attendance and punctuality are required Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Have you had any recent motor vehicle accidents or violations? Are you comfortable completing the required background, drug, and motor vehicle record checks? Are you available to work Monday through Friday? Are you comfortable with early morning start times between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM? Are you comfortable with longer distance trips across Connecticut when needed? Do you have experience working with students, children with special needs, elderly passengers, or mobility-limited passengers? Are you comfortable downloading and using company applications on your smartphone to communicate with dispatch, receive trip assignments, and complete documentation? Are you comfortable with assisting passengers with mobility needs when necessary? Are you comfortable working 8 to 10 hours per day when needed? Are you open to occasional weekend work?
