Professional Van Driver Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic drivers that enjoy working with children.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Transport pupils to and from destinations safely, and efficiently. Reports any mechanical failure or unusual noises relative to mechanical operations of vehicles to the Mechanic/Dispatcher. Keeps interior of Van, windows, windshield, and mirrors clean. Report suspected cases of child abuse to the school principal or designated official. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip checks on the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle and safety equipment is operational, that no child is left on board the bus and that the vehicle is clean and secure. Must comply with traffic regulations. Must report to work on time every workday. Must be able to use arms and hands without restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory needs of students. Minimum lifting requirements - 50 pounds (with assistance).

Qualified Candidates Should Possess:

A cooperative attitude and ability to work well with students, school personnel and co-workers and Management. The ability to manage multiple priorities, and deal with unexpected stressful situations and to remain calm in emergencies

Additional Requirements:

At least 21 years old Valid driver's license for at least 3 years

Screening FBI Fingerprinting Drug and Alcohol Testing Physical Child Abuse Registry DE Criminal Record Check Job Type:

Part-time (Must be available from: 6:00am - 8:30am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm)

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
