Overview Join our team as a School Van Driver and become a vital part of our students' daily journey to learning and growth! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting students from school and on summer trips, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being every mile of the way. Your positive attitude and reliable driving skills will help create a welcoming environment for children while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners while showcasing your expertise in bus driving, communication, and childcare. Duties Safely operate school vans and buses, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Valid Drivers License Transport students to designated locations on time, ensuring punctuality and reliability Assist with boarding and disembarking students, providing support for children with special needs or mobility challenges Maintain a clean, organized vehicle interior and conduct routine mechanical checks to ensure optimal operation Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and children to coordinate schedules and address any concerns Manage behavior on the bus through positive behavior management techniques to promote a safe environment Complete all required documentation such as route logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspections accurately Must have DCF 45 Hours Experience Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse communities Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrating patience and understanding Knowledge of behavior management strategies suitable for young passengers Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, ensuring student safety at all times Embark on this rewarding journey where your driving expertise meets your passion for working with children!
