Monday through Fridays; No weekends/

No Holidays Responsibilities:

Provides transportation service in Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community van for residents to and from local Waverly and Waterloo necessary appointments.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess current Iowa chauffeur's license (Class D) and excellent driving record. Regular attendance is required. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage hours to be here when the resident appointments are. Adjust hours so that you are here on Fridays till 3:30pm Manage work so you get the paperwork ready prior to the day of the appointment Manage over time Assist in dining room as able during meals Must provide services to residents on outings as needed (i.e. Accompany, push wheelchairs, etc.) Transports residents to and from necessary appointments on time while employing all safety precautions.

• Organizes trips efficiently
• Delivers correspondence to physician's offices, post office, hospital, etc. and returns same, if needed.
• Enter all appointments in ECS Communicates clearly with charge nurse and resident concerning departure times for appointments, etc.
• Monitor in house Doctor rounds and list to clinic of when the next appointments are due Responsible for filling van with gas and cleaning van.
